Beadboard

Beadboard is one of my favorite things to add to a wall. Next to a great paint color, I could put beadboard anywhere. These are some of my favorite pictures of beadboard. My next kitchen redo, I really would like to do a beadboard backsplash. I've thought of lots of things I could do, but always come back to wanting beadboard. .

Perfect timing! I have been thinking about using bead board for my kitchen back splash but wasn't sure. I love the look in these pictures. Now if I could just decide whether or not to paint my cabinets.

We have T&G inside our built in china cabinets in our old house. I am doing that for my backsplash, except using some pre-bought boards not exactly the same, but easier than routing out each one. They are a little over 3" wide and will be painted white to match my cabinets which were built 'only' 53 years ago and not original to the house. Hope to tie the kitchen more into the rest of the home. Thanks for all your pics, love checking them each day!

Bead Board black splash would make your kitchen look really cottagey! I never really liked bead boards or thought of using them in the kitchen but these images have totally swayed me :)

great post Lisa!

I'm happy you all liked the photos, they are very pretty. I love a lot diff aspects of designs. Too much of one style (ie cottage, or mod etc) makes me feel like things are too planned. But thats just IMO. I think if someone loves what they've done it shows, no matter what style you love!
