Ideas for your home office

I love looking at other peoples home office. I can get tons of ideas from home office pictures. I read a story the other day that the desk top computer will soon be dead. I'm sure that will change home decor somehow, but, you always will need a desk right ??

I always wonder about those closet offices. Do you think they're meant for people who spend a lot of time working in a home office? I think I'd feel claustrophobic if I put my office in a closet.

Possibly...I think if the doors to the closet can fold back far enough it would be better, but I don't know. Anyone have one?

That closet office has made such good use of every inch of space available. I like how there are even compartments overhead, something I'd never have thought to do. Love your new header!

I used to have my office in one of closets. We didn't have those kind of doors (we have the sliding kind), so I removed them and it made it a nice cozy space similar to the feel of a cubicle.

I liked the way it felt contained in the space and didn't take any extra floor space of the room.

I wish I had more closets and I would still have my office there!

That mirror seems to help a lot. I almost thought it was a window. :)

I love the organization of the Closet office. We live in an RV and need everything well organized. We replaced the dinette chair/table with a desk. But I like looking out the windows on 2 sides while working on the laptop. The mirror is a good substitute. Desktop was replaced by a 17" laptop earlier this year. Keyboard has # pad. So I'm a Convert: Much easier to handle during moving.

Any idea where the chair in the first photo is from? It is really a cute style, and love the legs!

I'm a small business owner and I have my own office in our house. However,I am still in the process of decorating, to make the room more appealing. With my line of business, I'm always on the go that is why I often rent spaces like the DC meeting space to meet up with clients. These meeting areas uses modernized technology like high resolution overhead projector and wireless internet. Surely, I was comfortable making negotiations in an organized space like the Washington DC meeting space, Well, I sure enjoy reading your post. Certainly, the closet office is a genius way to save office space. Thanks for sharing your excellent design ideas.

LOVE the little home offices. I love in about 600 sq feet in Manhattan... old walkup, so there is very little room for an office. Love the inspiration!

I'm totally digging the closet office. I have 2 closets in my bedroom. One for clothes and the other for crafts.

It's a great way to make space for a much-needed room in the house, without taking up more space.

I had an office built by Backyard Rooms
Its bigger than a closet office, and just as affordable. I chose the design, and the process was effortless. So happy with my new space!
