Classics

We've all heard about classics in design. The above photos are a few of my personal favorites. The black white checkerboard floor never goes out of style. Great artwork, that's a given and bead board walls (my personal favorites.) Do you have a favorite classic?

All of the above... Fresh flowers in beautiful vases, rather than contrived arrangements.

Handmade pottery in all shapes, styles, and colors. Next week I'm taking a group from out of town to the Seagrove, North Carolina area to visit just a few of the many potteries there. A great road trip!

Windows that let in a lot of light, white spaces (yay!), and ditto the above poster's comment....vases of fresh flowers.

I agree...real flowers and handmade pottery always do it for me. I'll add black and white photos. Stacks of books. A touch of blue in every room.

I love these images...and very much "classics". To me the perfect bathroom has a white pedistal sink!

Barcelona table and chairs, cuz they seem to go with everything. Ironstone pottery. White painted V-groove paneling, which I just put in my family room/kitchen. Ad I agree with everyone about the REAL flowers! Great post. So fun! :)

My parents' kitchen growing up was black and white checkerboard...love it.

I love tile - I think it is a beautiful classic. I also love hardwood floors. :)
