Small Touches for the Holidays

You don't have to break the bank or take 2 weeks to decorate for the holidays. I think I would rather have a few things in each of my rooms (even the bathroom!) Then one or two rooms over done. Thats me tho, how about you? Do you go all out? I love these pictures because they all have a festive feeling without being over the top.

I'm with you...too much stuff starts to look like a store display. I like a few things through out the house.

I love the wreath on the door in pic 1. I agree that it's nice to spread things around in the house without going overboard.

I used to be a bit over the top, but in the past few years I've really simplified things... having all that extra stuff around, and doing all that decorating proved to be more stressful than enjoyable, and who needs the extra stress!

These are beautiful examples of simple holiday touches!

This year we've kept it simple with just sage green, silver, and white. I love it so much more! I may be able to make it to Christmas before being driven to reclaim my house. Except our live tree is dead. Will have to wait later for that next year....

Hi Lisa! Lovely simple shots!

I like some lights in the house. But also candles, and paperwhites and rosemary. And Music...lots and lots of festive music. I guess that all could be over the top. So be it.

Have a GREAT Christmas, my dear!!

Totally agree that a little bit goes a long way. Maybe its just because the older I get the less fuss I lile !!?

I want the furniture in your pictures! We are working on a smaller cabin - to turn it into our full time home. So I will be checking your blog for ideas. Thanks!

I agree, a few things is enough. After all, less is more, right? We haven't decorated at all this year... waiting for the little one's arrival at the moment... ;) Happy New Year Everybody!!!
