Odd Spaces

We all have those odd ball spaces in our homes. Those spaces your not quite sure what to do with. Rethink them! Make them useful or decortive. You can put a shelf or a small chest there. Know your space and what you need !

Love the narrow chest in that little nook! I live in an apartment full of little nooks like this one, and it's always fun to see what kind of fun things can fit into them :)

Great post. Loved the shot of the narrow corner...I have a couple of nooks like that and I'm inspired to do something interesting with them.

Do you know where that console in the first photo is from by any chance? I've been looking for something just like it for MONTHS and can't find anything ... this one is perfect!
Thanks

I agree! With small spaces, we can use tiny/ odd furniture so much easier than people with giant rooms. Definitely one of the positives!

The space part way up the stairs is currently troubling me. I'm trying to 'shop the house' to figure out what I can move there!

Wow. Loved your site. I wonder if you did a DIY project of the picture background photo(black and white) in the 2nd corner. BTW,what is that kind of photo art called?

Could you explain how you convert a picture into such a piece of ART.
Thanks.

I LOVE the silhouette pictures. Coincidentally, I came across another site where the blogger has her kids silhouetted every year. She displays the pictures on her wall. I love that idea and wish I had come up with it when my son was little!
I just thought I'd finally post a comment. I've been stopping by your blog for quite some time and love your posts.

Great examples of playing up "odd" spaces.
