White as your backdrop

People use white to make rooms feel larger and it is a good small space trick. I like bold colors in small spaces too. I think what I love most about white walls is how you can use any color as accents and then change it up if you feel like it. White is never going to go out of style and as I get older my eyes appreciate all the light that white provides !

  2. Hi!
I like white on walls because it makes me calm. I don´t get sick and tired when I´ve got alot of white. And I also like white because everything you put into a white room looks good :)

  3. Hey there! I just found your blog--love it! I have a small space blog, too! But, I've sort of fallen off the small space bandwagon and veered into some other topics :-) Stop by sometime! http://urbansardines.wordpress.com/

  4. It's funny - I've been anti-white-wall-person for some time, that is until about 6 months ago when I moved to Berlin and the walls in our apartment were painted the most gorgeous color of white I'd even seen... suddenly plans for washing the rooms in color were set the side and I'm now living with white as my color-de-jour!

  5. I think white works really well as a backdrop, especially if you get a bit of warm light, to brighten things up.

  12. Hi Lisa,
this is a most inspiring blog, thank you so much!
My husband and I are about to move from quite a spacious roomy house to a smallish cottagey workman house. Goodness knows where we will put everything, but you have certainly given me some very inspiring and interesting ideas to try out! I really like white walls, and colour added with accessories too...

  14. Hello, I just found your blog and already I have a question ;)
Is it not obligatory to mention from where you have the photos posted? I suppose not all are yours....i am asking because I've just started blogging but I have lot of beautiful photos downloaded from net,but I did not know that I could post them without mentioning the source. Thanks for any answer. :)

  15. Lisa,

Would you mind telling me where the contemporary platform bed in the "White as Your Backdrop" post came from? I have been looking for a platform bed and I love that one. It looks really expensive though!

    Thanks,

    Trina
