On to Christmas...

Ok, so Thanksgiving is over. Its officially now Christmas. You can't deny it any longer. I will be away from home for the first time ever. I'm not quite sure how much decorating I should be doing. But since thats a month away, I figure I can still pull out stuff. I have noticed that every year I'm doing less and less. I do think less is more, but I also get when people go all out too. I just know I'll have to put it all back in a month!

I say, go for it and start decorating. The more the merrier.

Lisa, I can't wait to see what you do for Christmas.

We did less, this year...since we're going to take a little trip the day after Christmas. We still came up with 6 trees..though!!! One tree, is the one we forgot to take down, last year! And there is one on each porch, that were already assembled. So really we only had to but together 3. We weren't going to do the "lodge". Until the other day, when our new son in law was here and asked in a wistful voice, aren't you going to do the lodge? So Jim has been working on that. It helps to keep him busy!

Happy decorating in whatever way or however much you do, Lisa!

I'm also feeling overwhelmed by the idea of putting away all that stuff so I'm going lighter this year as well.

Oooh, I love the first doorway. If only it would snow in Alabama. ::sigh::

I know what you mean! Getting through our remodel and moving back in is still ongoing, and now Xmas too? Sometimes it is all too much, but the kids would be so disappointed. OK, I would be too. So we are going for it again!

i love those photos!! they really get me in the mood for the holiday season.

I feel that simple decorations can convey just as much if not more
so many times!

What a nice touch for a door knob. I love that idea.
