Using Bold Colors

Some people shy away from using bold colors in a small space thinking it will make the room feel smaller. Used in small doses, bold colors can add a great accent to the room. In the top picture you may be asking where is the bold color? Black. Black on the tile and door handle add a nice contrast to the high whites that are normally found in a bath. Don't be afraid to use your favorite bold colors. Mix it up experiment! You'll be glad you did!

I love that fresh green little bedroom with the built out closet. We live a l00 year old farmhouse with practically NO closets and that design would work well for one of our bedrooms. I already have 2 antique twin beds!

So interesting that the mirror's not directly above the sink. Smart.

I agree with you. I am hand painting a buffalo plaid pattern in my bathroom and it's amazing how big it looks.

Hi!
It´s my first time here at your blog - and I just fell in love with the pictures you have selected.
I also have a small house, and I think it´s easier to decorate when I need to figure out solutions that have to work in a limited space. When I´m given a large room that´s completely empty I don´t know where to start.
We´ve just moved in to our small house and we´ve got alot of renovating and decorating ahead of us but it´s going to be so much fun!
Soon we will have a new bathroom in our basement and then we are going to paint our house!
I have looked through all of your pictures - I just couldn´t stop!
I hope you have a great weekend with alot of sun!
Love Annika

Hi. You give a lot of good advice on your blog. You should be linking to the sources of the pictures, unless these are all your work. Is that the case?
