Don't be afraid to put a bed in a small room, or where ever you can ! I have a day bed in my living room! I may live small but I love having over night guest ! How do you accommodate over night guest? Is it possible for you ?
In the new house we have a room that will be a guestroom/office. We are buying a white bead board daybed that converts to a full size bed. I cannot wait!
We have a guest room downstairs but we always have to kick my daugher our of it when guests arrive as it is her room. Luckily she's a pretty laid back kid and takes it all with a grain of salt.
Have only had one overnight guest in the two years I have lived in this tiny duplex: one of my daughters. She slept on the couch. I have a Victorian fainting couch in my studio, but it is covered up with projects and needs to have the springs re-tied, as they are poking through the fabric and are verging upon lethal. [I'm in no hurry; after raising five kids in a tiny house and small apartments, I am cherishing the peace and the silence of this empty nest.]
I have moved the twin bed from my guest room into my craft room, and I am getting a queen bed (Ikea) from my son for the guest room. It will fill up the room, but I will have more beds for guests - which is good, since my brother and his family are coming to visit this summer. I love your blog! Thanks for all the inspiration.
as a kid, i always had to give up my room for overnight guests. now that i have my own place, it is quite small. i'll just have them sleep on the long couch in the family room. i only have a 600-sq ft, 1 bedroom cottage, so there's not many options. some day i'd love to have a real guest bedroom.

That room with the bunks reminds me of a place I stayed on a school camp back in Primary school.

This is my favorite blog! Thanks for all the great pictures!
Yes I have a guest room, now that the children are grown and gone. I should do a post on it soon.
I love the bedding in the first image!!
Hi, I'm looking for a similar piece of wall art, if not the same as shown in the last photo. Do you know where I could get something like this?
