Brick Interiors
First off, let me acknowledge that these particular photos are NOT small spaces. I wanted to share my love for the interior brick wall. Someday I have to have one. Love the texture they add and the warm feel. I love painted brick too. We are talking of adding on to our house and my first idea was to use the existing exterior brick as a wall in a shower. I'm so silly, I go into restaurants with fake brick and love that too. Not as much as the real thing but you get my point. So here's one of my decor weakness's. The interior brick wall!

oh great post... i love exposed brick, has such a lofty industrial feel in a warm way.
I absolutely adore the toilet pic especially the lighting.. how unusual & fun!
Greetings, Lisa! We share a penchant for exposed brick interiors. A friend of mine has just finished an exposed brick veneer wall in his kitchen. The result was fabulous! I may be in a minority, but I also like the random section of exposure with just a bit of it selectively peeking out. I haven't articulated that very well, but I'm sure you've seen the technique used particularly in the shabby chic tradition.
Once again, you've made some stellar selections for us to enjoy!
Regards,
Jules
I do love the brick and what an interesting mix with the vintage whites! I also wanted to let you know I tagged you (see my blog for what that means). I hope you don't mind and have a great day.
Lisa, this is a WOW post. Love exposed interior brick. I think that's why I went gungho on the family room fireplace!! I have a friend who just added a four seasons room to her home. They left the brick exposed, it's beautiful and does indeed add so much warmth to a room of windows.

I am lucky enough to be working on a restaurant with two very long walls of brick. I, too, am a huge fan!
Again one of my favourite things..brick walls!
Thanks for sharing!
Who knew brick walls would have so many fans!
Linda you caught me I'am on vacation but I have some post already made up so I'm not spending too much time online! So if I don't reply or its very slow this week you all will know why!
Thanks everyone!
You will be jealous. I live in a house built around 1860. Luckily, we still have one long original brick walls on the second floor. I did not seal it like many people do because I want to see the patina. If you do not have allergies, you just need to vacuum a little bit more.
The kitchen shot looks great.
