Wrinkled Comfort

There is something about a wrinkled chair or couch I find very comforting. A few years back, it would have drove me nuts! Don't get me wrong, I do like some of my stuff just so, but I don't want people to question whether or not its ok to sit down on any of my furniture. A wrinkled chair is like Grandma's open arms, come on in!

Nothin' like a soft welcoming slipcovered chair to say...sit down, enjoy some wine...a good book. Casual, comfortable....all good!

Yes! That's what I need! Actually I have a slipcovered wingback chair in my bedroom and love it! I covered it in a matelasse bedspread I picked up at a flea market. Now that I think of it, the chair was from a flea market too!

I absolutely love the top photo, Lisa! Look at those great walls, too!

Katie, I have a matelasse-slipcovered sofa in my LR. Mine came that way from the store and is a synthetic blend matelasse. However, the sofa is 10 yrs old this year (man how time flies!) and has held up great w. a busy family. I just love the look!

I slipcovered my wingback chair in blue denim for my FR...and it just looks better and better each time I wash them. It's also very practical because a Canine Goddess I know rubs up against that chair everytime she comes in from the pool!
